Familio Kovary (Kövári): Esperantologio & Holokaŭst-Studoj

The aim of this section of this web site is to document and promote research into the Kovary (Kӧvári) family, especially in relation to Holocaust Studies and the Esperanto movement. Documentation and family and other correspondence exists in a half dozen languages. The starting emphasis here is on artifacts and documents written or published in Esperanto and English, with the Esperanto connection as the main focus.

The main source of primary documents is the Kovary family collection, donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC by Myra and Vally Kovary. These links explain the family background and the collection.

Jen celo dokumenti kaj instigi esploradon pri la familio Kovary (Kövári), kiu gravas en la Esperanto-movado kaj rilatas al kaj Esperantologio kaj Holokaŭst-Studoj., Ekzistas dokumentoj kaj korespondado en almenaŭ ses lingvoj. La plej riĉa fonto estas la Kovary-arkivo ĉe la Usona Holokaŭst-Muzeo en Vaŝingtono. Mi komencas la esploradon de ĉi tiu arkivo kun fokuso al Esperanto, kaj komence serĉante dokumentojn plejparte en Esperanto kaj la angla. Sube trovu anglalingvan gvidilon al la arkivo. Note for researchers at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

You must fill out an online researcher form and bring a form of ID with you. The museum provides lockers for bags and other belongings not allowed in the reading room. (If you do not have a refundable quarter for the locker, one will be provided. Food and drink are not allowed in the reading room.) Laptops are allowed. You should bring a flash drive to save documents which you can scan for free on the overhead scanner in the reading room.
