Speevy, The American Jazz Singer


We publish in this issue some of the best pictures of David Octavius Hill, taken nearly 100 years ago. Here, as a contrast, is the work of a modern camera artist, some striking portraits of women taken by our regular contributor, Erwin Blumenfeld.
